17. Living With Lupus
Lisa may continue to feel better, be able to stop treatment, and live a mostly normal life. Or she may have a lot of flares, and it may take time to find a treatment that can stabilize her illness. Lupus is a very unpredictable disease. No one—not even her rheumatologist—can tell Lisa exactly what might happen in the future. Living with this uncertainty is one of the biggest challenges of having lupus.
